Our journey in creating this brand is a heartfelt celebration of the profound bonds of friendship. It's not just about the connection we share, or the astonishing discovery of the friendship between our grandmothers. It's about the warmth and camaraderie we've experienced with countless individuals around us—colleagues and clients alike. With over two decades in the industry, we've been blessed to work alongside incredibly kind and talented souls, and we hold those past relationships close to our hearts.

In a field often marred by competition and rivalry, our aspiration was to cultivate something unique, something kinder and more genuine. What drives our passion is the desire to create a space where every person, whether with us for a fleeting moment or for the entirety of their career, remembers their time with fondness, saying, "That was the best place I ever worked."

Interestingly, neither of us initially dreamed of opening our own salon. However, our shared belief in treating people with dignity and creating a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for our employees was irresistible. We envision a company that not only provides financial stability and support but also makes each individual feel truly valued and integral to our mission.

Our aspiration extends beyond the lifespan of our careers in hairstyling. We aim to build a legacy that transcends great hair—a company that embodies and serves a greater purpose. This vision also encompasses our cherished guests. The relationships we've built are at the heart of everything we do. We've shared in the highs and lows of life with our guests, from joyous engagements to the courage in facing life's toughest battles.

This profession is special because of these connections, and it's our pledge to create a haven where our guests feel safe, seen, valued, and a bit pampered.

Discovering that our grandmothers were friends in high school was a serendipitous revelation. As we worked in the same salon post-beauty school, we unraveled their story—their shared adventures, their roles in each other's love stories, and even their joint experiences in life's pivotal moments. Tragically, both were later touched by dementia and passed away around the same time, never knowing our shared path in the world of beauty.

Our salon, Maeve (after Mavis) and Nash (after Catherine (Nash) Herdt), stands as a homage to the enduring spirit of their friendship and the timeless essence of meaningful relationships.
